  • 1.  HA Configuration over different geographical locations

    Hi All,

It is my understanding that HA pairs generated heartbeat messages between the to routers independently, and this happens every second.

Does this mean that I will be able to configure 2 nodes in HA, across a L2 link between geographic locations - assuming that the latency between the two sites would be well under 1000 ms?

Also - I remember the configurations of redundant interfaces and having the ability to fail over certain traffic from a primary to a secondary node via a dog leg, but is it possible to configure active-active behaviour on the WAN side in an HA pair?

For example, several different services will be accessed from a spoke to a hub site (HA Pair), and internet traffic can be sent to the secondary device via dog leg, and VPN services will be forwarded out of the primary device normally?

    Regards,
