Hi Guys - Just a quick one.

Under Device Interface Type Settings then Device Interface Type then 'Host' is Host referring to a straight raw RS-232 connection?

    Thanks,

    Stephen

    Hey Stephen,

The 'Host' interface type is also known as a Kernel Network Interface (KNI). It is an interface that is present on the linux host.

Take a look at this writeup for some more info: https://community.128technology.com/blogs/reid-l-stidolph/2019/08/21/host-mode-kni-addressing

    Ryan,

OK thanks for clearing that up.

I noticed a number of interface types but I was wondering if we could perform a link across a serial interface?

If we could what do that, what would the data across a peered 128T link look like since IP is not required in a point-to-point transfer?
